The Stiltz Lodge in Swakopmund, Namibia, gives new meaning to the concept of luxury hotel. As its name indicates, the luxury wooden cabins at The Stilz are built on stilts, ensuring spectacular views of the nearby Atlantic Ocean, Swakop river bed, lagoon with its rich variety of birds, and sand dunes of the Namibian desert.
At The Stiltz, attention is given to every minute detail. Each private cabin at the luxury hotel and Swakopmund’s premier bed and breakfast establishment has been individually and creatively decorated, offering unsurpassed comfort. All cabins offer luxury en suite bathrooms, coffee/tea-making facilities, mini bar, a small safe for valuables, as well as heaters and blankets for chilly Namibian nights. Special touches include rosewood door frames and handcrafted copper light fittings. Each cabin has a balcony, where you can sit on custom-made director chairs and admire the peaceful surroundings. Each private cabin at The Stiltz are connected to the main cabin by means of wooden walkways.

Although the atmosphere at The Stiltz luxury hotel is that of peace and quiet, the town of Swakopmund with its restaurants and activities is only a 15-minute walk away.

If you decided to fly from Swakopmund to Zimbabwe you will need to spend a night in the Harare Cresta Lodge which is five kilometers from the city centre. Inn on the Vumba is a boutique hotel with a very English style in the Vumba Mountains near Mutare in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe while Great Zimbabwe Hotel is the closest hotel to the Great Zimbabwe Monument.
